Our New Class Pets

Over the next 3 weeks, we will be watching these lovely larvae transform into beautiful painted lady butterflies. Observing this metamorphosis is an important part of our current science unit, Animal Life Cycles.

They have arrived! Today, we were introduced to our brand new netbooks. The students were ecstatic and their Powerpoint presentations were fantastic!

Moving on from Measurement...

We are finishing up our measurement unit in math this week. Today, we discussed  mass and had great fun weighing everything in sight. Up next, geometric shapes!

Writer's Workshop in Room 14

On April 27, 3S hosted a Writer's Workshop for all of the grade 3 students in our school. We discussed adding details, organizing ideas, word choice. The students were absolutely wonderful; you'd never have guessed there was 59 of them in there!
