Happy Easter!

Today we spent our social studies periods learning about Easter traditions around the world. We were excited to discover the similarities across cultures. We created lanterns from India, pysanky drawings from Ukraine, and a gorgeous Peruvian flower collage.

"Another picture, Mrs. Stewart?!?!"

And of course, no Easter afternoon would be complete without a few Easter jokes!

Have a wonderful Easter weekend, everyone!

Building with a Variety of Materials: Our Final Project

To conclude our science units, "Testing Materials and Designs" and "Building with a Variety of Materials", the students are building houses to showcase all they've learned. In small groups, they were in charge of designing a plan, choosing materials, and the construction. We definitely have some future architects in 3S!

Patterning

Our math unit on patterning required the students to recognize and continue increasing and decreasing patterns. Miss Chartrand did a wonderful job of creating interesting and challenging patterning lessons for us.

Building Bridges

In science, we have been studying different types of bridges. Here, we are working in teams to build suspension bridges. This activity required great communication and lots of problem solving skills. The students did a fantastic job!
