Unfortunately the temperature was just too cold for us to go sledding with our kinderbuddies on December 17. But, we had a great time colouring Christmas pictures with them instead. Our grade 3's are becoming such wonderful role models!
We have completed our first paragraphing assignment, "If I was Santa for a Day". The students did such an amazing job, we couldn't resist sharing them with each other!
In the last couple of days, we have been introduced to paragraph writing. Using Mrs. Stewart's fancy gloves, we are writing a 3 paragraph paper, "If I was Santa For a Day". They are going to be fantastic!
We are moving along in math. We are now working on addition and subtraction strategies. By Christmas break, we will be able to add and subtract 3 digit numbers.
In language arts we have been enjoying the works of Chris Van Allsburg. We have admired his amazing word choice in his stories, and tried to model our own writing after his suspenseful stories. We are all looking forward to our Christmas party where we will watch the movie "Jumanji". We sure loved the book!
